For me its about strong women teaming together to support each other in becoming stronger in whatever ways, artistically, emotionally and intellectually... which is what this site does.
Most of the men and women on there are interested in political and world issues, are artists, writers and are sharing their art, ideas and laughs.
Instead of being bombarded by ads about random shit like other networking sites, diet pills and what not, the ads are about art shows or independent albums, bands and films or funny videos the members have created.
I was first introduced by a good friend who's mother created it. She is a film maker and from my eyes growing up around her in my formative years, I saw her to be a powerful and artistic women with a circle of supportive and equally artistic friends who supported each others artistic endeavors... I admire her work and her so I joined. I think those ideals are something women should keep important to them....
Some groups are Artists supporting other artists, Extremely opinionated women and Media for change.... I like it, a lot. Check it out.
