When I was a little girl, I remember the ghostly feeling of investigating abandoned things...speculating all the possibilities, where did they go? Why did they leave? My sisters and I loved peering into abandoned cottage windows like we were fearless adventurers rescuing some one's memories from decay, solving mysteries and as witnesses somehow part of their remains.
