So I am very proud of myself today, instead of going and buying some new shoes for spring, I revamped some old ones I had and wasn't into wearing anoymore.
I would post the photos of them but I didn't take a before photo so the after would mean nothing to you.
( So I borrowed this photo I found online which is very fitting... Shoe Renewing)
I am very into shoe renewing now, why I hadn't thought of it before I do not know.
I had a pair of vintage tall leather boots from my grandmother that were forest green and knicked up and some brown 80s ballerina style ones and some brown and white cowboy boots my mom got in Texas...I got them all dyed black and heels redone... all for 100$.. way less then what I would have paid for new ones and they are super hot and feel even better than new ones and I am delighted with my new fashionably eco solution.. I plan on getting some more of my oldies revamped to suit my wardrobe needs.
Some old school traditions are very practical and eco conscious, It makes sense, instead of buying new disposable type fashion items, I can rely on good quality items that can be repaired and kept forever and fixed up to suit my needs and nothing ends up in a landfill and in the end, the once very expensive classics saved me some dimes.
Classics.
